Question: We are trying to import one or more transports, but get a system error ‘Unknown error code E’. Import via STMS is working fine though.
How can we resolve this?
Below picture shows the error in the Windows GUI, under 'View' and then 'System and RFC errors'.
The error might occur in different situations. But in the case of one customer it was caused by not being able to execute External Commands via SM49, in the target system for the import.
Once that was working, the issue got resolved as well.
